NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Carleton College women's swimming and diving team cruised to a 154-82 win over visiting Macalester College as the Knights won 10 events during the meet. Six different Knights factored into multiple event victories.
The afternoon began with
Lydia Boyum (Sr./Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson),
Elizabeth Chatard (Fy./San Anselmo, Calif./Archie Williams),
Natalie Lafferty (Sr./Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley), and
Raine Bernhard (Jr./Champaign, Ill./University High School) coming out on top in the 200-yard medley relay with a winning time of 1:53.69.
Bernhard, Lafferty,
Serena Lee (Sr./Muscat, Oman/The American International School of Muscat), and
Claire Neid (Sr./Denver, Colo./George Washington) closed the meet with a narrow triumph in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
In between, Carleton registered eight more first-place results.
Victoria Bradjan (Fy./Gilbert, Ariz/Gilbert) prevailed in both the 1000-yard freestyle (11:27.76) and 500-yard freestyle (5:33.51).
Lee was first to the wall in the 200 freestyle (2:03.70), while Neid took first place in the 50 freestyle (25.52).
With a time of 2:20.83,
Ashley Rosenberg (Fy./Chicago, Ill./Latin School of Chicago) won the 200 IM.
Alison Cameron (Sr./Reno, Nev./Reno) contributed a first-place performance in the 100 fly at 1:02.70.
Maddie Damberg-Ott (Jr./London, Great Britain/Channing School) touched the wall at 1:02.11 to win the 100 backstroke, while Chatard notched the win in the 100 breast at 1:11.63.
