Nina Schwab picked up First Team All-America recognition for the fourth time in her career after finishing as the runner-up on the 3-meter board at the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships.
The sophomore finished with a score of 484.35, only 0.95 behind 3-meter champion Fiora Beratahani of MIT. This performance came two days after Schwab was crowned national champion for 1-meter diving.
On Saturday, Schwab posted the highest overall score (497.25) during the preliminary round, but started the finals with a carryover score of only 182.20, which ranked her fifth out of the eight divers in the finals.
She vaulted into the lead after her opening attempt of the finals, scoring 52.65 points on her 405C (Inward 2 1/2 Somersault Tuck). Four of her six dives during the finals earned at least 50 points.
Schwab remained ahead of the pack after adding 54.60 points on her next dive—107C (Forward 3 1/2 Somersault Tuck)—and 54.00 points on her 5152B (Forward 2 1/2 Somersault 1 Twist Pike).
Logan Yee of MIT, who ended up taking third place overall, jumped into the lead after turning in the top scoring dives of Rounds 8 and 9.
Schwab was fourth heading into the final round, trailing Yee by 10.70 points and Beratahani by 10.20 points.
Beratahani scored 46.25 points on a 2.50 DD dive, while Yee added 43.20 points on a 2.40 DD dive. Schwab, the only diver in the finals to attempt a dive with a 3.0 degree of difficulty, was the last diver to go. She finished with her 205B (Back 2 1/2 Somersault Pike), her second 3.0 DD dive of the night. Schwab scored 55.50 points, the most during the final round, to climb into second place.
With Schwab scoring all of the team's points, Carleton finished 19th out of 44 scoring squads in the team competition.
