Hilton Head Island, S.C. -- The Carleton College women's tennis team ended its three-match losing streak by taking an exciting 5-4 win over UW-Whitewater to end its spring break trip.
Abby Beggs posted a key win at first singles and teamed with Christina Walker for a win at third doubles.
The Knights (9-3) won two of the three doubles match, but the Warhawks upset Carleton's top duo, Sarah Russell and Eryn Koch, handing the Carleton tandem only their second loss of the spring.
In singles play, Shelley Getzendanner and Lisa Ottum took easy wins at fourth and fifth singles, respectively. Needing one more victory for the match, Beggs won a second-set tiebreaker at first singles.
