St. Paul, Minn. – Carleton swept all three doubles matches in beating the University of St. Thomas, 7-2, avenging last year's regular season loss to the Tommies.

Carleton (12-4, 7-0 MIAC) was simply dominating in doubles play, dropping a mere eight games in the three matches combined. The Knights continued the superior play in singles action, clinching the victory early with wins at third, fourth, and fifth singles.

First-year player Christina Walker overcame a 4-1 second set deficit to score the fourth point. Junior captain Diane Danforth and sophomore Eryn Koch tallied the fifth and sixth points with walk-over victories. "I blinked, and Diane and Eryn had won," Carleton Coach Sarah Hurst said.Rookie Abby Beggs posted the final victory against a formerly undefeated opponent.
