Hilton Head, S.C. – Carleton used a sweep of the three doubles matches en route to a 7-2 victory over the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater.
The sweep set the tone in favor of the Knights in a key regional match-up with the Warhawks. Diane Danforth and Eryn Koch made an impressive doubles debut, winning 8-4 at the second position. Consistent returns paired with cagey strategy proved successful for first-year doubles team of Meredith Kletkotka and Shelley Getzendanner at third doubles.
The victory was secured quickly when captain Genevieve Philp and rookie Christina Walker won at first and fifth singles, respectively.
The Knights play their final match of the spring break against Kalamazoo College (Mich.) on Friday.
