Hilton Head, S.C. - Carleton encountered their toughest competition to date in nationally-ranked Middlebury College (Vt.), falling 8-1.

The Knights struggled in doubles, dropping all three matches. Middlebury had greater strength in singles, winning five of six matches. First-year player Abby Beggs posted the lone Carleton victory in the match. Slugging her way through the windy conditions, Beggs extends her record to 14-3 for the season with a straight-sets decision at third singles.
