Burnsville, Minn. ­â?? Carleton College continued its strong MIAC start by disposing of Macalester College, 9-0, on Friday night.

While expected to dominate, the Knights turned in strong performances throughout. In singles play, first-year player Christina Walker played flawless serve-and-volley tennis at the fourth spots. First-year player Shelley Getzendanner ran a clinic on high first serve and service return percentage, winning handily with outstanding strength and consistency. Sophomore Eryn Koch continued her strong singles play, winning in 35 minutes.

Prior to singles competition, the Knights swept the three doubles matches.

The Knights (5-1, 4-0 MIAC) continue conference play against St. Mary's University in Winonaon Saturday, March 6, at 4 p.m..
