MOORHEAD, Minn. – The No. 38-ranked Carleton College women’s tennis team cruised to a 9-0 win at Concordia College as the Knights dropped only five total games in sweeping the Cobbers.
The Knights (8-4, 5-0 MIAC) switched up their normal doubles tandems but continued to find success. The pairing of Danielle Vasiliev (Jr./Lincolnshire, Ill./Stevenson) with Madeline Prins (Fy./Pacific Palisades, Calif./Palisades Charter) prevailed 8-2 atop the lineup. Kristina Conrad (So./Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) played alongside Alana Danieu (Jr./East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) for the first time and notched an 8-0 triumph at second doubles. Caitlin Eichten (Sr./Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata) and Zoe Park (Fy./Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) made their doubles debut with an 8-0 win.
In singles, all six Knights each won in straight sets with no player dropping more than a single game.
Carleton is scheduled to hold its on-campus home opener next Saturday, April 8 when the Knights host Luther College at 1 p.m.
