LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The Carleton College women’s tennis team cruised to a 9-0 victory over Hamline University on Thursday as five Knights won in both singles and doubles action. That quintet includes first-years Zoe Park (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest), Madeline Prins (Pacific Palisades, Calif./Palisades Charter), and Iman Qureshi (Lahore, Pakistan/Lahore Grammar School).

Carleton dropped only three games in sweeping the doubles matches. The Knights continued their domination in singles, yielding only five games in their six straight-set victories.

Qureshi and Park combined on the 8-0 triumph at first doubles, then prevailed at first and third singles, respectively. Caitlin Shea (Sr./Joliet, Ill./Joliet Township West) and Danielle Vasiliev (Jr./Lincolnshire, Ill./Stevenson) secured the 8-1 win at second doubles, with Vasiliev adding a win at second singles and She doing so at fourth singles. Prins and Caitlin Eichten (Sr./Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata) triumphed 8-2 at third doubles before Prins added a win at sixth singles.

Kristina Conrad (So./Plymouth, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) rounded out the scoring for Carleton with her 6-1, 6-1 victory at fifth singles.

Carleton will host Augustana University (S.D.), a NCAA Division II program on Sunday, Feb. 12 at Lifetime Fitness in Bloomington, Minn.
