COON RAPIDS, Minn. — The Carleton College women's golf team finished fourth at the St. Kate's Fall Opener on Saturday at Bunker Hills Golf Club. The Knights tallied 317 strokes, a 20-stroke improvement from Friday's first round.
First-year
Cindy Yuan exploded out of the gate in Saturday's final round with birdies on three of the first five holes on her way to a two-under-par 34 on the front nine. The Danville, Calif., native came home in 40 to collect a two-over 74 to give her a two-round total of 155 (+11) and finish sixth on the individual leaderboard, the top finisher for the Knights.
Junior
Anna Lee followed with another consistent round. The Vernon Hills, Ill., native went 38-38, including seven pars and just two bogeys on the back nine to secure a four-over-par 76. Combined with an 80 (+8) in Friday's opening round, Lee finished with a stroke total of 156 (+12) to finish in a tie for seventh.
First-years
Angela Yu and
Sarah Han followed as the final two Knights to record scores on Saturday. Yu put together a solid loop to collect her first round in the 70s of her young collegiate career. The Scarsdale, N.Y., product posted 38-40 and finished the final six holes just one-over par for a final round 78 (+6). Following an opening-round 89, Yu totaled 167 (+23) on the weekend to finish 18th.
Han finished with a back-nine 40 on Saturday and collected the highlight of her weekend with a birdie on the 17th to post a final round 89 (+17). The Springfield, Mo., native paired an opening round 87 (+15) with Saturday's 89 for a weekend total of 176 (+32) to tie for 27th.

Carleton will be back in action next weekend at the D3 Classic hosted by Gustavus Adolphus at Emerald Greens Golf Course in Hastings, Minnesota on Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13.
