EDINA, Minn. — The Carleton College women's golf team concluded play at the St. Kate's Fall Invite on Sunday, shooting a final-round 322 (+34) at Braemar Golf Course to wrap up the two-day tournament in ninth place.

The Knights recorded a combined score of 67-over-par 643 (321-322) across 36 holes, finishing ninth in the 11-team field. Carleton edged out Gustavus Adolphus (+75) and Concordia-Moorhead (+77). UW-Stout captured the team championship with a 26-over-par 602, followed by host St. Catherine (+32) in second and Macalester (+36) in third.

First-year Cindy Yuan highlighted the weekend for Carleton, firing a final-round even-par 72 to jump five spots into a tie for fifth place on the individual leaderboard. A clean card through her first four holes, the Danville, Calif., native bogeyed the par-three fifth hole then blazed through the remainder of her front nine with birdies on three of the remaining four holes to make the turn two-under par (34). Eight holes later, Yuan was one-over-par and birdied the 18th to secure her career-best even-par final round.

The first-year finished at two-over-par 146 (74-72) for the tournament, ending just two strokes behind runner-up Addy Longie of Gustavus Adolphus (E). Individual medalist Julia Imai of UW-Stout ran away from the field with a pair of rounds under par, finishing with a total of 136 (-8).

Junior Anna Lee also earned a top-10 finish, shooting a four-over 76 on Sunday to end in a tie for 8th place. The Vernon Hills, Ill., native opened her round with a three-over 39 on the front before finishing strong with a one-over 37 on the back. Lee finished the weekend with a five-over-par 149 (73-76), giving the Knights two golfers inside the top eight.

First-year Angela Yu carded a second-round 85 (+13) to tie for 53rd place at 22-over-par 166 (81-85). Yu's highlight of the round came in the form of a birdie on the 133-yard par-three seventh hole on Sunday. Classmate Sarah Han showed a four-stroke improvement in her second round, turning in an 89 (+17), highlighted by a birdie on the 360-yard par-four 12th. Han went on to finish 76th with a total score of 38-over-par 182 (93-89).

Up Next for the Knights
Carleton will be back on the course next weekend when the Knights host the Carleton Invite on Saturday, Sept. 26 and Sunday, Sept. 27. The event will take place at two different golf courses—Oneka Ridge Golf Course in White Bear Township, Minn., on Saturday and Faribault Golf Club in Faribault, Minn., on Sunday.
