Matt Drake named to CSC Academic All-District Team

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Carleton College sophomore guard Matt Drake was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team for 2025-26.
 
Each school can nominate a select number of student-athletes that meet the following criteria:
• at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
• at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
• compete in at least 90 percent of the institution's games or start at least 66 percent of the contests.
 
Drake was fourth in the league by averaging 19.4 points per contest and was 1 of only 2 sophomores voted by the conference coaches to the 16-player All-MIAC team. He shot 43.5 percent from beyond the arc during the 2025-26 campaign, to rank second in the MIAC, and he paced the league by connecting at an 87.8 percent clip (115-of-131) at the free throw line this season. Drake reached double figures for scoring in 24 contests, with 14 games of at least 20 points and a pair of 30-plus point performances. He added 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
 
Drake was selected to advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 14.
