MINNEAPOLIS – The Carleton College women's swimming & diving program sits fourth of out eight teams after the first evening of racing at the 2024 MIAC Championships.
Wednesday's abbreviated schedule included only two events for the women: the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay.
In the shorter relay, the grouping of
Grace Hou,
Emma Yao,
Zoe Morton, and
Daya Tucker came in third place with a time of 1:46.73. This solidifies All-MIAC status for the quartet, which finished more than three seconds faster than their seed time
Shifting to the 800-yard freestyle relay, Carleton took fifth place in the event as the entry of
Lily Wong,
Jenna Drummond,
Eleanor Hebard, and
Stephanie Baranov finished with a time of 8:00.98.
Up Next for the Knights
On day two of the conference meet, Carleton will compete in the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard IM, 50-yard freestyle, 400-yard medley relay, and 1-meter diving. Prelims begin at 10:30 a.m. with finals slated for a 6:30 p.m. start.
