ROCHESTER, Minn. -- The Carleton College women's swimming & diving team turned in numerous top-20 results during the three-day Rochester Invite. The Knights finished seventh out of the 10 teams.

The squads competing at this year's meet included four NCAA D-II programs: No. 18 Augustana University, No. 21 St. Cloud State University, No. 26 Minnesota State-Mankato, and MSU-Moorhead. The four D-III squads include No. 24 UW-Eau Claire, regionally-ranked UW-La Crosse, Carleton, and College of Saint Benedict. Iowa Central College is also competing, while St. Olaf took part in the diving portion of the meet.

THURSDAY
Nina Schwab won the 3-meter diving competition. She posted the top score of 448.75 during the 33-diver prelims, then had a score of 432.70 in the finals.
Hailey Westrup earned fourth place in the finals at 402.30.

Chelsea Andersen took 12th in the 500-yard freestyle with time of 5:17.02.
Stephanie Baranov was 19th in the event with her time of 5:22.05.

Jenna Drummond earned 20th place in the 200-yard IM after posting a time of 2:16.90.

In the relay events, Carleton's top entry in the 200-yard medley finished 16th as
Grace Hou,
Emma Yao,
Daya Tucker, and
Zoe Morton combined on a time of 1:49.21. Thursday's action concluded with
Lily Wong, Baranov, Andersen, and Morton combining on a time of 8:09.43 in the 800-yard freestyle relay, good for 17th place.

FRIDAY
Just as they had done the night before, Schwab and Westrup again finished first and fourth, respectively, in the diving competition. This time on the 1-meter board, Schwab posted a score of 435.75 while Westrup accumulated 412.05 points.

Morton, Tucker, Yao, and Baranov took 16th in the 200-yard freestyle relay, combining on a time of 1:40.57.

Andersen won the 'C' Final of the 200-yard freestyle, touching the wall at 1:58.96.

Yao finished 13th in the 100-yard breaststroke, clocking a time of 1:06.95.

Hou blazed to a time of 58.14 the 100-yard backstroke. She won the 'C' final by more than a second and placed 17th. Her time was actually the seventh-fastest time during the finals, but she could climb no higher than 17th due to her prelim swim.

Friday wrapped up with the 400-yard medley relay, and the quartet of Hou, Yao,
Ella Grogan, and Morton finished 17th with a time of 4:02.17.

SATURDAY
Yao finished 20th in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:33.71. She placed 19th in the very next event, the 100-yard IM, clocking a time of 1:02.96. Hou tied for 20th in the latter event, reaching the wall at 1:03.69.

Caroline Crampton earned 12th place in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:16.36.
Isabelle Riley won the 'C' final at 2:20.46, and
Nora Wooten took 20th after posting a time of 2:22.13.

Andersen finished fifth in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 18:01.35. Baranov placed 14th at 18:37.03.
