Tarm Rojanasoonthon earns All-America status with play at NCAA Championships

ORLANDO, Fla. – Carleton College sophomore Tarm Rojanasoonthon (Bangkok, Thailand/Chulalongkorn) wrapped up the 2022-23 season as part of the singles bracket at the NCAA Division III Men Tennis Championship. Rojanasoonthon won his first match of the day before falling in the second round.

The top player on the Knights' roster bounced back from a slow start to prevail 1-6, 6-4, 6-0 over Brendan Jimenez of Skidmore College. Rojanasoonthon advanced to face No. 4 seed Phuc Huynh of Washington University-St. Louis in the round of 16.

Huynh took the first set 6-1, but Rojanasoonthon bounced back to capture the second set 6-3.
Huynh, who won his opening round match in straight sets, claimed the third set 6-2 to advance to the quarterfinals.

By virtue of winning his first-round match, Rojanasoonthon is slated to receive All-America recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). He is the sixth player in program history to secure All-America status (see chart below) and the fourth to do so in singles.

The MIAC Singles Player of the Year, Rojanasoonthon concludes the season with a 21-4 overall singles ledger, including his record during dual matches, the fall ITA Regional, and the NCAA Championships. He also went 15-7 in doubles play.
