ST. PETER, Minn. – The Carleton College men's tennis team spent the weekend competing at the ITA Midwest Regional and Midwest Open, seeing action in both singles and doubles.
 
Three Knights took part in the ITA singles draw with each winning a match. Yuv Kataria advanced the farthest, falling in the third round to semifinalist Marco Siviero of host Gustavus Adolphus.
 
Both Jack Rivkin and Jasper Yang advanced to the semifinals of the Midwest Open singles bracket. Rivkin was bounced by Eli Young of Luther College, but Yang got revenge for his teammate, rolling to a 6-0 and 6-1 victory over Young in the finals.
 
Aniketh Viparrala and Jerome Yang progressed to the third round of the Midwest Open doubles bracket before dropping a tight 8-6 battle with Taylor Duncan and Sam Wolden of Saint John's.
