LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – The Carleton College men's cross country team took 10th out of 36 teams at the Inter-Regional Border Battle hosted by Rowan University.
Henry Bowman (Sr./Lafayette, Colo./Centaurus) was steady atop the Knights' lineup, placing 21st overall out of 309 racers with a time of 25:26.6.
Elijah Jones (Sr./Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) was next across the line for Carleton, taking 53rd with a time of 26:04.2.
Roy Llewellyn (Fy./Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) finished five seconds later and earned 59th place.
Chris Melville (Jr./Bloomington, Minn./Bloomington Jefferson) provided a boost for the Knights, returning to the lineup and taking part in his first race of the season. He covered the 8K distance in 26:19.1 and placed 74th.
Josh Meier (So./Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge) ran tough and came through as Carleton's fifth scorer. He was 115th at 26:59.7.
Ethan Ash (Jr./Oakland, Calif./Head-Royce School) clocked a time of 27:26.5, while
Ben Aoki-Sherwood (Sr./Robbinsdale, Minn./Armstrong) returned from sickness and finished in 27:30.0.
Brett Hanley (So./Bellevue, Wash./Newport) and
Reese Anderson (Fy./Frontenac, Minn./Lake City) were the final two finishers for the Knights, posting times of 27:33.4 and 28:45.9, respectively.
