NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The regionally-ranked Carleton College men's cross country team finished sixth out of 14 teams at the St. Olaf Invitational.
National No. 1-ranked UW-La Crosse captured the team title with a score of 32. The Knights totaled 147 points, only five points out of fourth place.
Gabe Nichols paced the Knights with a ninth-place result as he clocked a time of 25:46.7.
Indy Lyness was next across the line, finishing in 26:11.2 to take 26th place.
Roy Llewellyn placed 45th at 26:46.2.
Rookies
Gus Schafer and
Dashiell Coyier rounded out the scoring for the Knights as they placed 51st and 70th, respectively, with times of 26:53.1 and 27:28.2.
Andrew Jamison,
Travis Brown,
Kyle Thompson, and
Jacob Hopkins were closely grouped together, finishing at 27:34.2, 27:36.5, 27:41.2, and 27:45.0 to place 73rd, 74th, 76th, and 79th, respectively.
