WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Carleton College volleyball team dropped both of its matches on Saturday, falling by 3-0 scores to WIAC opponents University of Wisconsin-Stout and No. 16-ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
The Knights (0-4) came up short against the Blue Devils by a 25-10, 27-25, 25-10 tally. The Blue Devils hit .327 compared to a .035 clip for Carleton.
Abby Loe (Jr./Apple Valley, Minn./Apple Valley) once again led Carleton's attack, accumulating five kills to go along with eight digs, and two aces.
Inger Shelton (So./San Diego, Calif./La Jolla) added 10 assists to her season total, while
Tegan Carlson (Jr./Benton City, Wash./Kona-Benton City) brought up 11 digs.
No. 16 UW-Whitewater remained undefeated on the season after posting a 25-14, 25-13, 25-16 victory. Loe collected a team-best eight kills, while Shelton hit .500 and contributed 16 assists.
Loe was selected to the six-player all-tournament team.
Carleton returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 4 with a 7 p.m. match at Bethany Lutheran College.
