NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- Amy Roach (Sr./Bethesda, Md./Bethesda Chevy Chase) won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions at the Northfield Diving Invite. The meet included divers from Carleton, St. Olaf and Hamline.
Roach posted scores of 234.40 and 247.15 on the lower and higher boards, respectively, for her six dives on each board. She won her fourth consecutive meet at the 3-meter height and has now prevailed in back-to-back-to-back competitions on the lower board.
Teammate Phoebe Smith (Jr./Dallas, Texas/Hockaday) placed third on the 3-meter board, posting a score of 213.45, and took fourth in the 1-meter scoring with 190.75 points.
Carleton’s third diver, Kristie Lee (Fy./Portsmouth, R.I./Portsmouth), placed fifth on the lower board with 168.35 points.
Next up for the Knights is the MIAC Championships to be held on Feb. 15-17 at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center.
