St. Paul, Minn. -- Dylan Welch (So./San Francisco/French-American School) scored in the second minute and Melley Turner (Fy./St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Academy) added a late insurance goal as the Carleton College women's soccer team shut out the College of St. Catherine, 2-0.

Yusi He (Fy./South Pasedena, Calif.) notched a trio of saves for her third shutout of the season in five starts.

The Knights (3-6-1, 3-4-0 MIAC) won for the third time in their last five matches, outshooting the host Wildcats 20-9, 10-3 in shots on goal.

The game was a bit physical, featuring eight fouls on St. Catherine and seven on the Knights. The host Wildcats were issued three yellow cards, a season high for a Carleton opponent this season.

Turner and Welch powered the Knights' attack all afternoon, with Turner getting six shots off and putting three on net, while Welch had five shots, three on goal.

The Knights return to action on Saturday, Oct. 15, hosting Bethel University at Bell Field at 1 p.m.
