INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES DURING MY TIME AS A CARLETON STUDENT:
I did statistics research at Carleton, contributing to a paper my professor was working on that focused on using statistical methods in criminology. It allowed me to build a stronger relationship with my professor and learn about the research process. Additionally, I did an externship where I updated information on Ed100.org, a website that breaks down policies that impact California schools for parents and teachers. This externship encouraged me to take more classes in Educational Studies which led to me declaring it as a minor. It also showed me the value of having statistical knowledge in other fields of study.
