Because I wanted to go to a school in a small town and it was a great fit for me in terms of swimming, academics, the environment and especially the people.

INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES DURING MY TIME AS A CARLETON STUDENT:
Jaguar Therapeutics. I interned at a physical therapy private practice in my area, where I essentially worked as a physical therapy assistant. So along with basic upkeep of the place, I also worked directly with patients in the form of coming up with appropriate exercises for their rehab (under guidance from other staff) and made sure they executed their exercises with the proper form.

I think it was a big part of the journey of trying understanding what I want to do as a career. I came to Carleton in many ways with no direction of what I wanted to do, and so I'm now proceeding with a very clear goal and understanding.
