OWATONNA, Minn. – The Carleton College men's tennis team won a pair of matches on Saturday, topping Hamline University 5-2 and Central College 6-1.
Miles Lee dominated in his two singles victories, dropping only one game on the day.
"Although he was disappointed to learn what a car pool really is this morning, Miles played with incredible focus in sweeping his two singles matches," said Carleton head coach

Carleton 5, Hamline 2
Hamline (1-5, 1-1 MIAC) started the day by capturing the doubles point behind 6-4 victories at the top two spots in the lineup.
"Summary of No. 1 and No. 2 doubles: Let me be the Virgil to your Dante for this descent into hell," Zweifel said. "Credit to Hamline for putting us on our heels."
The Knights (9-2, 4-0 MIAC) responded with five straight-set victories in singles.
Baiyun Jing prevailed 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, while
Ezra Bernhard and Lee added 6-0, 6-1 wins at the third and sixth slots.
Jack Rivkin won 6-1, 7-6, (7-1) at No. 4 singles, while
Yihe Zhang contributed a 6-3, 6-3 triumph at No. 5 singles.
The Pipers other team point came at No. 1 singles, where Wyatt Crowell rallied for a 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6) result.
Carleton 6, Central 1
The Knights swept the doubles matches to start the non-conference contest.
Akshay Garapati and Rivkin, the No. 16-ranked tandem in the country claimed a 7-6 (7-4) result at No. 1 doubles,
Zach Leslie and Zhang picked up a 6-3 victory at the second spot, and Bernhard and
Owen Heidtke notched a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles.
For the second time on the day, Carleton won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Garapati, ranked No. 34 in the country, defeated Bodi Kortz 6-4, 6-3 atop the lineup. Jing topped Alex Slaymaker 6-1, 6-4 at the second slot. Bernhard added a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles.
Heidtke contributed a 6-2, 6-0 triumph at the No. 5 singles, while Lee cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at the sixth slot.
The lone team point for the Dutch (1-7) came at No. 4 singles, where Gavin Jablonski edged Rivkin 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (10-6).
Up Next for the Knights
Carleton is slated to play five matches during its Spring Break trip to Hilton Head Island, S.C. First up is a match against the College of Wooster on March 19.
