Hamline (11-3, 5-2 MIAC) won its seventh straight game—the longest active win streak in the MIAC—and remains a game behind the conference co-leaders.
Carleton (5-9, 2-5 MIAC) shot 46.3 percent overall and limited the Pipers to only 33.8 percent shooting overall land 25.0 percent from 3-point range, Hamline's second-lowest performances this season in both areas. Carleton trailed 20-10 early in the second quarter but answered with a 12-2 spurt that tied the game at 22-22 with 3:45 still to play before intermission. Hamline closed the stanza with an 8-0 run and carried a 32-24 advantage into the break.
It was still a seven-point game midway through the third quarter, but the Pipers outscored the Knights 13-4 over the remainder of the period to build their largest lead of the evening at 53-37.
Carleton outscored Hamline 19-10 during the fourth quarter, but the deficit was too large to overcome.
