NORMAN, Okla. – In addition to the Carleton College men's golf team having a fantastic 2024-25 season on the links, the Knights' excellence in the classroom earned them Team Academic Award recognition from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
Carleton posted a 3.54 team grade-point average for the 2024-25 academic year, making them 1 of only 24 NCAA Division III programs to receive Presidents Special Recognition. Another 28 schools surpassed 3.00 team GPAs this time around.
The Knights previously led NCAA Division III with a 3.71 team GPA in 2021-22 and 3.78 GPA in 2022-23.
Last week,
Gordon Walker '26,
Sam Higaki '27, and
Justin Rodriguez '27 were recognized as 2024-25 All-America Scholars by the GCAA. In June, Rodriguez and Walker were selected to the CSC Academic All-District Team. That duo was joined on the Academic All-MIAC squad by brothers
Albert Jing '25 and
Geoffrey Jing '25.
The Knights' 2024-25 season included individual and team titles at the MIAC Championships as well as the program's first-ever team qualification for the NCAA Championships, where Carleton tied for 13th out of 43 teams.
