Quartet of Knights named to CSC Academic All-District Women's Swim & Dive Team

NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- In recognition of their work both in the pool and in the classroom, four members of the Carleton College women's swimming & diving program were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team. Senior Caroline Crampton received her third consecutive honor, while senior Isabelle Riley, junior Stephanie Baranov, and sophomore Hailey Westrup each took home their first Academic All-District award.

Schools could nominate up to four student-athletes that had at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average, were at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and competed in five competitions OR finished in the top-eight at a conference championship meet.

Crampton, a biology major, finished fifth in the 200-yard butterfly at the 2025 MIAC Championships. She has earned one All-MIAC award and received All-MIAC Honorable Mention twice during her career.

Riley, a chemistry major, finished eighth in both the 100 and 200-yard butterfly at the MIAC Championships this year.

Baranov, a history and political science double major, finished in the top seven of four events at the conference meet. She was part of the fourth-place 200-yard freestyle relay and finished fifth in the 1650-yard freestyle, sixth in the 500-yard freestyle, and seventh in the 400-yard individual medley. Baranov has earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention four times during her first three years swimming at Carleton.

Westrup was named MIAC Co-Diver of the Year this season on the strength of her first-place finish on the 3-meter board and runner-up performance on the 1-meter at the MIAC Championships meet. Westrup finished ninth on the 1-meter at the NCAA Regionals, and 11th on the 3-meter. Last season, she qualified for the NCAA Championships and finished top-20 in both the 1 and 3-meter competitions. Westrup, who will declare a major later this spring, has earned three All-MIAC awards and one All-MIAC Honorable Mention

Westrup advanced to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced later this month.
