NORTHFIELD, Minn. – For the 28th consecutive time, both the Carleton College men's and women's swimming & diving programs earned the Scholar All-America Team Award from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) in recognition of the Knights' work in the classroom.
 
The Scholar All-America Team Award is presented biannually, once for the fall term and again for the winter term/spring semester. For a program to earn this honor, swimming & diving squads must post a combined team grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale during the designated time period.
 
The Carleton swimmers and divers easily exceeded that threshold. The women's program (30 participants) combined on a 3.72 GPA during the fall 2024 portion of the season, ranking 10th among NCAA Division III women's teams with at least 25 participants. The 3.72 GPA was the program's second-highest for any in-season term since at least 2011.
 
Meanwhile, the Carleton men's program (26 participants) owned a 3.63 GPA to rank 11th among squads with 25+ participants) during the designated period. This was the fifth straight time that the Knight men surpassed a 3.50 team GPA.

According to CSCAA.org, the Carleton teams are the only MIAC squads—men's or women's—to take home these honors each time since Winter/Spring 2011. In fact, only two other conference schools have a current streak of at least 10 consecutives CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Awards.
 
A total of 135 NCAA Division III schools saw both their men's and women's programs capture the Scholar All-America Team Award for fall 2024. Of that group, Carleton was 1 of only 20 to post cumulative GPAs of at least 3.50 with at least 25 participants on both its rosters. The
