NORTHFIELD, Minn. – For the second time in their respective collegiate careers, Carleton College seniors Ben Pennell and Briggs Priem picked up All-Region accolades from the United Soccer Coaches. They are the 13th and 14th players in program history to collect multiple All-Region Awards.
 
Carleton was 9-5-3 overall, including a 3-4-3 ledger in league games. The Knights saw their conference record of 17 consecutive trips to the MIAC Playoffs snapped as the league qualified four squads for the NCAA Championships this fall.
 
Pennell was All-Region in 2023 and was a fourth-team pick in an injury-shortened 2025 campaign. He paced the MIAC and was tied for 10th in NCAA Division III with 12 goals through first 12 games this season, including hat trick vs. Lincoln, before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Pennell was on the field to start the Senior Day season finale but was subbed out after a minute of play, so he concluded the year tied for 11th in Division III at 0.92 goals per game and tied for 17th at 2.00 points per game. His four game-winning goals were fourth in the conference during the regular season. Pennell finished with 35 career goals—tied for second-most in team history—along with 15 assists for 85 career points. All of those totals would have surely been higher had he not missed 15 games over last two seasons due to injury.
 
Priem followed up his All-Region IX Third Team selection at midfielder last fall with a fourth-team honor this year. He earlier earned his second consecutive All-MIAC First Team nod. He was fourth on the Knights with three goals this season—including the game winner in his final collegiate game—and tied for third with two assists. Priem totaled 17 goals—including five game winners—and 16 assists over his time with the Knights.
