OWATONNA, Minn. – The Carleton College women's tennis team wrapped up the fall portion of the schedule with a 7-0 victory over College of St. Scholastica. The match was moved indoors at West Hills Tennis & Fitness Center due to scattered rain showers in the Northfield, Minn. area.
The day started with singles, and Carleton (5-0, 3-0 MIAC) dropped no more than three games in any of the six matches.
Kat Smiricinschi cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles, while
Giana Marks and
Clara Mast notched 6-1, 6-0 triumphs at No. 1 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
Algara Dineva secured a 6-1, 6-1 result at the fourth slot, while
Kiley Pickens won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.
Peggy Fu added a 6-0, 6-3 victory at the third spot in the lineup.
All three doubles matches ended with matching 6-1 scores. Marks and Smiricinschi prevailed at No. 1 doubles, Dineva and Pickens proved victorious at the second slot, and Mast and Fu combined for the win at No. 3 doubles

Carleton step away from competition until midway through winter term. The Knights next contest will be a Valentine's Day match against Saint Mary's University.
