ST. CLOUD, Minn. – After the second round of the 2024 MIAC Championships, the No. 16-ranked Carleton College women's golf team continues to hold onto second place in the 10-team field. All five Knights sit within the top-15 on the leaderboard.
 
Carleton collected 10 birdies during the second round and had a team score of 312 (+24) on Sunday, giving the Knights an overall total of 623 (+47). No. 9-ranked St. Catherine University maintained its lead and has a 36-hole score of 603 (+27). Bethel University (+48, 624), Macalester College (+72, 648), and Gustavus Adolphus (+92, 668) round out the top five.
 
Carter Sichol (+10, 154) turned in her second straight round of 77 and is a tie for sixth place in the 50-player field. She started the day with a birdie on the opening hole and added four more during the round.
 
Cynthia Lu (+12, 76-80=156) played a consistent round on Sunday, carding scores of 40 on both the front and back nine. She sits alone in ninth on the player leaderboard.
 
Anna Lee (+13, 78-79=157) finished strong with birdies on two of the final four holes, moving her into a tie for 10th place.
 
After playing the front nine at 7-over par, Sarah Zheng (+15, 80-79=159) started rolling after making the turn and covered the back nine at even par, tied for the second-lowest second-nine performance in the field. She will enter Monday's final round tied for 12th place.
 
Mindy Zhai (+16, 83-77=160) shook off a tough opening round and matched Sichol for the Knights' lowest score on Sunday. Her day included a pair of birdies while climbing from 24th into a tie for 15th place.

For the third consecutive day, Carleton will play alongside St. Catherine and Bethel. Final round tee times for the Knights begin at 10:45 a.m.
