NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Carleton College senior safety Henry Detmer was selected to the D3football.com All-Region 6 Team for the second consecutive year. He was tabbed third team All-Region by the website. He is the seventh Knight to collect multiple All-Region awards (see chart below).
 
Detmer was previously named to the All-MIAC First Team Defense for the second time. He is 1 of 3 defensive backs in Region 6 to average better than 8.0 total tackles per game and 5.0 solo stops per game, and he is the only one to do so while forcing at least one fumble and recovering a fumble.
 
Detmer finished 11th among all players in the region and second among defensive backs with 51 solo tackles. He ranked fifth among defensive backs in the region with 83 total tackles. He tied for first among defensive backs and third among all players in the region with two fumbles forced. Detmer totaled 6.0 tackles for loss, second-best among MIAC defensive backs.
 
Detmer, who also served as a punt returner and kick returner for the Knights, had one of his best games of the season against No. 3 Saint John's, totaling 12 tackles (including five solo stops) and a fumble recovery.
 
Detmer helped Carleton shake off a slow start to finish the year with a 5-5 record, marking the first time since 1987-90 that the Knights posted four consecutive seasons with winning percentages of .500 or better.
