Game 2 Recap
Things started off better for the Knights in the second game as the visitors jumped out to a 2-0 lead thanks to
Steve Antrim's RBI double
Sam Gossard (Fy./Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) RBI singled in the top of the first inning. Unfortunately, the Scots answered immediately with two runs in the bottom of the frame before roughing up the Carleton pitching staff for five more tallies in the second inning and a four-spot in the third inning.
Â
Zacks' RBI single in the fourth inning accounted for the other Carleton run.
Â
Braden Sebesta (Sr./Spring, Texas/John Cooper School) provided a bright spot for the Knights' pitching staff, tossing 1.2 innings of scoreless, one-hit relief with two strikeouts in game two.
Â
Up Next for the Knights
Carleton will hold its home opener when Concordia College-Moorhead visits Mel Taube Field on Friday, April 14. First pitch is slated for 1:00 p.m. The doubleheader was moved up 24 hours to avoid rain that is forecast to hit the Northfield area on Saturday.
