MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. – The Carleton College women's golf team concluded its first tournament of 2022 with an 11th-place finish at the 14-team WashU Spring Invite.
Ananya Shah (Sr./Maple Grove, Minn./Wayzata) and
Alyssa Soma (So./Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) led the Knights on day two by carding scores of 79.
Carleton posted an overall two-day score of 650.
Shah moved up 10 spots on the leaderboard during the second round and finished with a 36-hole score of 162 (+22), tied for 44th place. Soma jumped 14 spots on Monday and wrapped up the tournament at 165 (+25), putting her in a tie with teammate
Olivia Siebert (Fy./Glencoe, Ill./New Trier) for 53rd place.
After an opening-round 75,
Kristin Miyagi (Sr./Honolulu, Hawaii/'Iolani School) tallied Carleton's top overall tournament score of 158, good for 27th place in the 83-player field.
Taylor Kang (So./Pleasanton, Calif./The King's Academy PSP) turned in scores of 92 and 91 as she finished in 76th place at 183.

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. – Playing in its first varsity competition of the spring season, the Carleton College women's golf team carded a 322 (+42) in the opening round at the WashU Spring Invite. The Knights are 10th out of 14 teams.
Carleton is once again receiving votes in the WGCA national poll and is 1 of 8 teams in this tournament's field ranked inside Golfstat's top-30.
Kristin Miyagi led the Knights with a 5-over par 75, putting her in a tie for 12th place.
Olivia Siebert is tied for 37th after finishing with an 80.
Ananya Shah and
Alyssa Soma rounded out the scoring for Carleton after posting scores of 83 and 84, respectively.
Taylor Kang turned in a score of 92.
