NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The women's basketball game between Carleton College and St. Catherine University that was originally postponed on Tuesday, Nov. 22 will not be made up. Per NCAA policy, the game is considered a "no contest" and does not affect a team's official win-loss record. However, the MIAC standings will consider it a "forfeit loss" for the Knights and a "forfeit win" for the Wildcats.
Due to injuries to several individuals on Carleton's roster, the Knights did not have enough medically cleared players for competition on the originally scheduled day. The teams explored options for rescheduling the contest but were unable to match up on an alternative date.
Carleton head coach
Tammy Metcalf-Filzen anticipates enough players will recover in time to allow the Knights to play their next scheduled contest on Wednesday, Nov. 30 versus Augsburg University.
