LEXINGTON, KY – The Carleton College women's volleyball program continued its run of academic excellence by earning the American Volleyball Coaches Association's (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 school year.
This is the 14th consecutive year that the Knights collected this honor, tying Carleton for the seventh-longest active streak in NCAA Division III. Dating back to the 2001-02 academic year, the Knights have earned the AVCA Team Academic Award 19 times overall, the second-highest total over that span among the 426 NCAA Division III volleyball programs.
The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale.
