NORTHFIELD, Minn. – After dropping the opener 8-1, the Carleton College softball team earned a split of Tuesday's twin bill with a 12-4 triumph in game two as
Hala Soliman (So./Harrisburg, N.C./Lake Norman Charter) tossed a complete game in her first collegiate start
"I thought we did a good job of bouncing back in game two," said Carleton head coach
Amy Erickson. "Hala did a great job on the mound to earn her first collegiate win. We hope to carry this momentum into the rest of the season."
Shortstop
Maris Daleo (Sr./Rockford, Ill./Stillman Valley) was 6-for-7 in the doubleheader after collecting three hits in each game. After starting the season 1-for-19, she has hit at a .483 clip (14-for-29) over the last eight games.
