Rex Desso joined the Knights in April 2026 and coaches the team’s wide receivers in addition to serving as recruiting coordinator. He was wide receivers coach at Grand View University (Iowa) for the 2025 season, where he led the Vikings to a 14-0 record and an NAIA national championship. Desso then served as an offensive assistant at NCAA D-III champion UW-River Falls in the spring of 2026 before accepting a position at Carleton. He majored in economics at Macalester College, where he was a two-time All-MIAC First Team wide receiver and set school records for receptions in a game (18), season (100), and career (208) in addition to receiving yards in a single season (1,266).
