I had the opportunity to see International level competition, discuss the socio-economic and geopolitical consequences of sports, and to simply enjoy the various sports cultures these other countries had to offer. Acknowledging and experiencing these differences in an academic and everyday sports-goer lens deepened my appreciation for the connective ability sports have.

With Judge Manning I attended hearings daily, as we had about a 40-55 case/week caseload, discussed legal consequences and objections with him, and wrote well over 50 court orders for families in Hennepin County. For Huffer & Assoc, I did research in Indiana case law, West Law, and general hearings to prepare for their early briefing documents ahead of pre-trial. I have had lots of hands-on experience in my field well before graduation. Not only has it prepared me for what's to come, but also has ensured me that this is the career path I'd want to pursue.
