This summer I worked as a Medical Assistant in a small, rural town in Northern California called Chester. I floated through the emergency department, family medicine, and orthopedics assisting in patient intake, treatment, post visit summaries. The experience made me appreciate the speed and quantity of medicine in places with larger populations with more resources. Chester is a town of 2,000 people so adaptability and patience were aspects of healthcare I came to understand and plan to utilize in my career!
