POST-CARLETON GOAL(S)…
Probably get a graduate degree in Biochemistry and then teach in some capacity. Also achieve internal balance, which might be rather difficult considering what I just said.

I CHOSE TO COME TO CARLETON BECAUSE…
The ability to explore many different subjects in a challenging academic environment, the ability to engage in a variety of extracurricular activities, the supportive and welcoming community, and the awesome faculty who are passionate about teaching. Also the swim team and coaches! (they fall into the supportive and welcoming community category)
 
WHAT I MOST LIKE ABOUT CARLETON IS…
That the community here is welcoming, supportive, and passionate about what they do, especially teaching and learning. Also the freedom to pursue multiple interests and activities.

INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES DURING MY TIME AS A CARLETON STUDENT:
Carleton Chemistry Department - I worked in a biochemistry research lab for the summer investigating how bleomycin is hydroxylated during its biosynthesis. It allowed me to apply the content I have learned from Carleton classes to a project with scientific significance, and helped me understand what a career in biochemistry research might look like. It also gave me insight into what I like and don't like about research, which is helping me plan for my future and the rest of my time at Carleton.

HOBBIES:
Spending time outside (mostly hiking), reading, listening to music and audiobooks, playing the cello, and learning the ways of the Force.
