Colleen Carey

Colleen Carey joined the Knights’ coaching staff prior to the 2018 season, bringing with her familiarity with the MIAC, having served as head coach at the University of St. Thomas from 1999-2006. During that time, she compiled a .631 winning percentage (86-47-16), earned a pair of conference coach-of-the-year awards, and guided her squads to two NCAA Championships appearances, including a trip to the national quarterfinals in 2002. Since 2006, she has served as coach and director at various Twin Cities soccer clubs/academies, most recently working with Woodbury Soccer Club. Carey has worked with the Minnesota Olympic Development Program since 2006. A two-sport All-MIAC athlete at Saint Benedict, she played on Blazer teams that made the NCAA Division III Final Four in both soccer and basketball. She served as an assistant coach at St. Ben’s in 1994 and 1995.  She earned her master’s degree in sports management from St. Thomas while serving as an assistant coach at UST in 1997 and 1998.
