I got to play several times with some Spanish players at pick-up and it made me really appreciate being able to communicate effectively on the field with Carleton Women's Soccer since we all speak the same language!
 
INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES DURING MY TIME AS A CARLETON STUDENT:
At the Maryland Zoo, I worked to update the behavioral-data-taking infrastructure for the North American River Otters. At Carleton, I worked in a disease ecology lab, traveling to Vancouver Island to tag loons and catch fish for sampling.
