INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES DURING MY TIME AS A CARLETON STUDENT:
E-STAND Neurosurgery Lab at the HCMC in Downtown Minneapolis - - E-STAND is a lab that implants paraplegics with an epidural stimulator to help them regain both volitional and autonomic functions. After surgery, patients have monthly check-ups to optimize the settings of the stimulator to create the best quality of life. My role was to help with these check-ups by administering the various tests for optimization.

It helped me gain a clinical research understanding which helped to round out my academic learning at Carleton and see it applied in real time.
