INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES DURING MY TIME AS A CARLETON STUDENT:
Concussion Alliance, Kitty Anderson Youth Science Center STEM Freedom School, Pomfret School, Northfield Mount Hermon School
MY INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES ENHANCED MY EXPERIENCE AS A CARLETON STUDENT-ATHLETE BECAUSE…
At Concussion Alliance I was the executive extern and helped run the program for the other externs. At the STEM Freedom School I taught a class of 3rd-5th graders reading and reading comprehension. At Pomfret School I externed and shadowed teachers in psychology, biology, and history as well as helped coach the basketball team. At Northfield Mount Hermon I was a teaching intern and co-taught high school psychology, coached volleyball, was on dorm staff for the students, supervised school trips, and assisted in running the social media. All of these experiences gave me the insight into how my Carleton education would truly be invaluable to my future work and career.
