I'd like to believe sport encourages a level playing field through a platform void of discrimination and ego which encourages and thrives through diversity. At Carleton, people of all different backgrounds collaborate on and off the field. I believe my experience with the globalization of sport abroad enhances that aspect of being a Carleton student-athlete.

Data analysis and statistical observation of habitual house sparrow mating patterns. I used R studio and Excel in order to find correlations and to predict behaviors within a population. Along with finding the value in data collection and realizing the importance in data correlations, I also made the discovery of the flexibility of statistics. As a potential math or stats major at Carleton, I was always skeptical of what jobs I would have to choose from when I graduated. Throughout this externship, I realized Math and Stats can be used in potentially any field or career in a useful manner to model and identify important patterns of data and life. Now I’m not as worried about what my life will look like after Carleton. At Sand Cherry I also performed market research and analysis of trends in technology-driven market sectors through market research, data analysis, and job-shadowing several projects relative to data collection and synthesis.
