I CHOSE TO COME TO CARLETON BECAUSE…
I chose Carleton because of the great education, the ideal location, and the opportunity to be part of the football team. Most importantly, I wanted to follow in the footsteps of many notable Carleton Hmong alumni from my community. Also the same state as the Minnesota Timberwolves and Vikings.

Economics in Cambridge; seeing how another university teaches in another country was a fantastic experience.

Meeting Carleton alums working across the pond, such as John Winter, was inspiring for me. Being able to learn from a real Cambridge professor was something I had never even considered. Getting that chance was life changing.
INTERNSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES DURING MY TIME AS A CARLETON STUDENT:
I was a research assistant at University of Michigan's School of Public Health. I helped with cleaning data sets and learning how to code with R-studio to make tables and graphs. Being able to help in research that will help people in the world gives me confidence that what I do matters.
