Travis Brown ’22 was added to the coaching staff before the 2022 season. He earned four All-MIAC awards on the gridiron—to along with one for baseball—and in 2021 became the first Carleton football player to be named First-Team All-MIAC for two different positions (safety and special teams returner) in the same season. Brown also garnered three D3football.com All-Region Awards, including recognition at both safety and returner for the 2021 season. He graduated from Carleton in 2022 after majoring in statistics/mathematics and earned four career CoSIDA Academic All-District Awards and was twice voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team. At the time of his graduation, Brown was the only active NCAA player (across all divisions) to score a touchdown via interception return, fumble return, punt return, and kick return during his career.
