Carleton is a place where I felt like I could reach my academic potential, while having the most fun along the way. When I visited the school, I was struck by the genuine excitement that the students had for their coursework and their peers.

As a student, spending a term immersed in a different culture learning primarily through group discussions and field research helped me embrace my liberal arts education. There were many days when I felt like I hadn't done much, but I made myself realize that playing with the kids of my host family all day was extremely valuable to my education. As an athlete, it was fantastic to play in local soccer leagues and I even got the chance to run in the San Jose Marathon!
