EAU CLAIRE, Wisconsin – The Carleton College men's golf team finished tied for 14th out of 22 teams at the Wrigglesworth BluGold Invitational.
 
Tournament host University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire claimed the team title following the final round, which was held at the par-72 Wild Ridge Golf Course.
 
Sam Higaki was the top golfer for the Knights, finishing the two-day tournament tied for 14th among the 124 golfers in the field. On Monday, Higaki shot two-over-par (74) with a round that included three birdies. He finished the tournament at seven-over-par (150).
 
Justin Rodriguez also carded a two-over-par (74) in the final round and finished the tournament at +12 (155). His day two score moved the senior golfer into a tie for 49th overall on the individual leaderboard.
 
Eli Slifer and Austin Mak both turned in rounds of 79 on Monday. Slifer had three birdies at Wild Ridge and finished at +19 (162) over the two days. Mak's final score for the tournament brought him to +22 (165).
 
Dillon Croco shot an 81 for the Knights on Monday and completed the two-day tournament at +19 (162).
 
Carleton had three golfers compete as individuals at the BluGold Invite. Matt Kang had a solid round, shooting a 76 (+4) on the day. Combined with an 83 on day one, he finished at 16-over-par.
 
Gareth Birney carded an 83 (+11) on Monday, and Oscar Peche shot 88 (+16) in the final round.
